David's primary practice areas

David Ashley is a transactional attorney practicing primarily in the areas of entertainment and media law, including film, television, theatre and digital media.  He represents production companies, directors, producers, screenwriters and celebrity talent in a wide-array of entertainment projects and has served as production counsel for reality television programs, documentaries and feature motion pictures.  Mr. Ashley also advises clients on copyright and trademark issues.  Mr. Ashley was first associated with the firm as an intern during law school.  In addition, Mr. Ashley worked during law school as legal intern in the legal department of DC Comics and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

Before attending law school, Mr. Ashley worked as a television producer and editor with the Sundance Channel cable network where he was Senior Writer/Producer.
