Steven A. Werier is an associate who practices in the areas of transactional corporate, sports & entertainment, and media law, with an emphasis on venture capital financings, joint ventures and other corporate matters. Mr. Werier has worked with a variety of publicly traded and privately held companies, private equity firms, hedge funds, start-ups and individuals. Previously, he worked in the Congressional and Legal Affairs Department of the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C. and at CanWest Global Communications Corp. in Winnipeg, Canada. Mr. Werier is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto where he served as President of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society and as an editor of the law school newspaper.
